Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Electronics Engineer to join our West Hartford, CT team. The Principal Electronics Engineer will execute all technical aspects of a given program while ensuring that cost, schedule and company objectives are being met. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other cross-functional team leads and engineers to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
  • Perform requirements development, allocation and compliance assessment
  • Generate block diagrams for various design concepts and circuit topologies
  • Perform preliminary and detailed analyses
  • Ensure overall compliance to TECS internal processes (e.g. NPI, Standard Work, Design Reviews)
  • Meet or exceed DFx, Design-To-Cost and Design-To-Weight targets
  • Support internal and external customer meetings
  • Perform Design Assurance and/or Qualification Testing
  • Support the transition of a program from development to production Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, MSEE is preferred.
  • Greater than 7-years of relevant Aerospace-Avionics design experience.
  • Concentration – Control System Design (Motors, Actuators, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Technical:

  • Modelling & Simulation Tools (LTSpice, Intusoft, Filter CAD, MathWorks/Simulink)
  • Analysis Tools (Mathcad, MS Excel, Minitab, MS Access)
  • CAD Tools (Mentor Graphics suite: PADS, Hyperlynx, DxDesigner)
  • Documentation Tools (MS Word/PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, Nuance)
  • Requirements & Configuration Management (Teamcenter, DOORs)
  • Programming (Labview, Visual Basic, eTPU micro-code)
