Description:
Overview:
The VIRGINIA Class Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Electrical Engineering group has an opening for a highly motivated experienced engineer to join us as a team member in the area of cableways and cable routing installation.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead coordination efforts between system engineering, major area team leaders, program office, design and engineering, and leadership
- Lead coordination efforts between multi-system engineering groups and arrangements design
- Perform non-standard cableway hanger analysis
- Perform relative movement calculations, concepts, arrangement validation, cableway development, and cable routing development
- Support selling ship’s arrangements to the government
- Candidate must be organized and able to manage relationship between ships requirements and arrangement compliance
- Responsible for cost and schedule performance of assigned tasks
- Responsible for managing multiple projects and/or assigned tasks
- Responsible for developing and presenting system information/status as the design progresses
- Develop and peer review ERs /CNs
Candidates must be highly motivated, work independently and be able to positively interact with other engineering disciplines, vendors, design and the government.
