Engineer II (US)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Engineer II develops and maintains technical solutions that adhere to engineering and architectural design principles while meeting business requirements. Provides technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security; includes planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s or Graduate degree
• Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
• 7 + years relevant experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience and proficiency with the Microsoft Defender Platform and technology as it relates to design, implementation, concepts, practices, and administration.
• Platform capabilities (such as but not limited to): Office365 / EDR / Antivirus / other Defender platform capabilities
• Technology and Infrastructure (such as): Azure / Azure AD / Active Directory / Networks
• Proficiency with solution, policy and architecture design along with experience implementing and supporting endpoint security tools, particularly EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), FIM (File integrity monitoring), Security Automation / Orchestration platforms and similar.
• Tools (such as): Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender, Symantec Datacenter Security, XSOAR
• Demonstrated operational proficiency and experience, particularly with OS administration and automation of tasks in Windows and Linux environments through scripts (Python, PowerShell, bash, etc.)
• Proficiency, experience, and sound knowledge of other design activities used to secure systems and networks
• Proficient in troubleshooting application issues
• Customer Service in an IT context which includes communications both to technical and non-technical teams and individuals
• A strong desire to work and learn independently, and able to contribute in a team environment.
• Familiarity with operating or developing in Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Compute Platform.
• Software development experience and knowledge (in Procedural or Object Oriented languages).
