Description:
ENGINEER IN TRAINING (EIT)
Are you passionate about sustainable energy and eager to make a difference? Geosource Energy Inc., a leading Design-Build company specializing in geothermal solutions, is looking for a dynamic Engineer in Training. In this role, you will become an expert in ground-source heat pump systems, covering all aspects from feasibility and design to implementation and operation. You will work on CAD drafting, geothermal and mechanical drawings, building thermal energy and ground heat exchanger modeling, and remote monitoring. Additionally, you will coordinate projects, solve problems, manage multiple projects independently, assist project managers, and contribute to Geosource’s overall success.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This individual is responsible for understanding all aspects of a geothermal design, coordinating responses for RFI’s, working with geothermal design consultants to align their design with our design strategies, analyzing data, complete thermal conductivity testing reports, and technical issues/RFI’s relating to operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering Degree
- AutoCAD expertise an asset.
- Team player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast paced environment
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of related design experience in mechanical construction for building systems, preferably in geothermal
- Ability to work and apply technical resources with minimal supervision
- The amount of experience would adjust the level of responsibility of the successful candidate’s position
- Strong understanding of mechanical construction, installation methods, technologies, planning and management, commissioning process, etc.
- Strong knowledge of all geothermal systems from both the design and installation perspectives
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
