Job Description
We are looking for a Systems Technical Support Engineer who will remotely provide support for server and storage equipment located at customer sites. You will report to a Managed Services Supervisor based in USA.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will focus on remote managed services for data centers located in manufacturing facilities. Have technical expertise for computer environments and will bridge the industrial and information technology paradigms
  • You will support modifying and maintaining Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory and Directory Services, and performance monitoring techniques on server software and hardware.
  • You will support many VMware products such as vCenter, ESXi versions 6.x+, HorizonView, vSAN and must have experience managing these environments in a production environment.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance remotely by telephone and email on products to Rockwell Automation field service personnel, distributors, integrators, and customers. Work with other engineers, manage and deal with high pressure situations.
  • Investigate and verify reported product problems in software, firmware, hardware and documentation. Document the problem, work with appropriate group to resolve the problem, and follow up with the Rockwell Automation representative or customer when the problem is solved.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, computer programming, or similar
  • 2 years’ experience as a VMware engineer
  • Availability to resolve urgent VMware environment problems outside of business hours
  • Technical skills
  • Good English reading, writing and verbal communication skills

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.
  • Proficiency in VMware associated programs and coding languages, such as Windows Server, MS IIS, SAN/vSAN architectures.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of VMware solutions and related technologies.
  • Programming Language for cloud platforms: Python, Java, JavaScript, Power Shell
  • Familiarity with network and SAN switching technologies.
  • Work in a round-the-clock, global operation 7 days x 24 hours
  • Windows Server Certification 2012/2016/2019/2022+ (MSCE/MSCA/MCITP/MCP)
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Experience (ACP ThinManager, HorizonView)
  • Linux Experience
  • Remote Application Publishing (Citrix, RDWeb)
  • Understanding of ISA, ANSI, NEMA, NEC and NIST standards.
  • Demonstrate Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Products
  • Experienced in ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: PLC, SCADA, HMI, EtherNet/IP, especially programming, troubleshooting, design and installation.
