As a Mechanical Engineer for hoisting, you will be reporting directly to the Superintendent of Fixed Plant Maintenance, you will manage the safe and successful delivery of complex asset improvement projects in a way that ensures quality, financial and output targets are met. You will also be working closely with the Senior Electrical Engineer and Hoisting Supervisor

Your key responsibilities include:

• Safe and successful delivery of capital, sustaining and asset improvement projects including shutdowns
• Lead and manage complex mechanical asset projects involving personnel from a variety of disciplines
• Performing calculations for safe and efficient component designs and upgrades
• Undertake options planning to define the scope for improvements to individual assets
• Supervise and manage the design, tendering and delivery phases of projects and programs
• Managing external suppliers working on engineering projects
• Uphold project management procedures, including project structures, controls and governance, risk management, stakeholder communications and reporting
• Responsible for providing mentoring and visible leadership, ensuring policies, standards and procedures is communicated, understood and applied.
• With your knowledge of hoisting systems and legal requirements, you will be required to hold the legal responsibility of Primary Person to Control Winder Operations (PTCWO)
