OTHER KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assist in identifying and monitoring key mechanical reliability risks across the site and track the implementation of key risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in breakdown investigations and be accountable for L1 and L2 Root Cause Analysis to improve asset reliability and availability.
- Delivery of robust, cost-effective engineering solutions compliant with the site and Australian Standards
- Provide technical support in relation to equipment performance and maintenance activities, including inspections and engineering verification of shutdown tasks where applicable.
- Initiate and execute continuous improvement projects focused on plant improvement and defect elimination.
- Maintaining the project tracker and escalating new work/issues to the Senior Mechanical Engineer.
- Utilize and support the Management of Change system.
- Optimize cost through the Edge process and project budget control.
- Technical fault finding and failure analysis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering with reliability experience (Degree).
- Demonstrable understanding of reliability engineering and asset life planning strategies
- Execution experience in surface mining, fixed plant equipment maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with asset integrity management systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of statutory codes and standards relating to regulated fixed-plant equipment compliance.
- Effective interpersonal / networking skills to champion change and instigate and manage improvement projects.
- Experience in cost enhancement, statutory compliance, and audit.
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills
- Engineering and reliability experience with ore processing plant equipment such as SAG and Ball mills, slurry pumps, crushing, and conveying components.
- Good level of computer literacy (operating systems, Office products, engineering tools)
- SAP, experience desirable.
- Manual C Class Driver’s License
Responsibilities:
Reporting into the Senior Engineer- Mechanical, we are seeking an ambitious Mechanical Engineer - to join our site-based Maintenance Team at Telfer on an 8/6 Roster flying on Mondays.
The purpose of this role will be to provide technical support, guidance and coaching to site personnel on matters related to reliability, engineering, mechanical safety, statutory compliance, and engineering matters. This position will also provide a key accountable link to actively support safety improvement initiatives and demonstrate safety leadership across the site.
