Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Engineer - Pipelines is responsible for providing engineering and technical services to support the safety, reliability, integrity and long-term value of Jemena’s AS2885 Asset Class that supports Jemena’s commercial and operational objective.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Development of asset class strategies and life-cycle management plans as an input into the Asset Management Plans to ensure the AS2885 Asset Class meet expected service delivery, asset performance and commercial requirements.
- Identify projects required to deliver the Asset Class Strategies through the development of high quality and clearly defined opportunity briefs, Options Analysis and Scope of Work.
- Provide project engineering support by performing document reviews and technical query management. This includes participation in design reviews, HAZOP etc as the Jemena technical representative as part of Project team.
- Performance Monitoring including compliance to requirements in AS 2885, Jemena specifications and other relevant codes and standards.
- Operational Engineering Support including defect assessment to ASME B31G and API 579.
- Perform Incident investigation and reporting.
- Perform Asset Integrity Monitoring and Condition Assessment, including review of Cathodic Protection, In-line inspection and coating defect survey data.
- Perform review and assessment of third party works in vicinity of pipeline assets.
- Co-ordinate and Participate in Risk Assessments and AS 2885 Safety Management Studies.
