Description:

Our Material Handling Division, which spans across MiJack RTG cranes, Broderson industrial cranes, LiftKing forklifts, and Greenfield equipment, is hiring a Product Validation Engineer. In this role you will contribute to the validation process for a variety of material handling equipment, focusing on enhancing safety, performance, and reliability through effective testing and collaboration within the engineering department.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of product validation practices, with a focus on testing for heavy machinery.
  • Skilled in applying technical knowledge to support and enhance engineering practices.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and external partners.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Accredited engineering degree with emphasis in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Master’s degree in related engineering field is preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of work experience in product validation, with a particular focus on mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems in the heavy equipment or material handling industry.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



    • Execute testing protocols to effectively simulate real-world conditions and gather relevant data for product validation.

    • Provide technical support to the Engineering department, working closely to align validation processes with product development initiatives.
    • Anticipate and adapt to technological changes in the industry, ensuring departmental readiness for validation of new and existing products.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external test facilities and technical experts to enhance validation capabilities.
    • Select, calibrate, and install the correct instrumentation (load cells, pressure transducers, thermocouples, flowmeters, etc.) while ensuring all information required will be covered and there is integrity in the data. Prepare the data acquisition equipment.
    • Document results by crafting effective and formal technical reports that include conclusions & recommendations based from test data. Document non-conformance via JIRA tickets.
