REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience working in engineering
  • Firm grasp of engineering concepts and experience designing mechanical systems and products
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
  • Able to work independently with a positive attitude under tight schedules
  • Estate management preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of local safety regulations
  • Possess a Class 3 driving license

Responsibilities:

  • Review, coordinate with Professional Engineer and finalise technical drawings for assigned projects given by the Facilities Manager
  • Ensure, administer and comply with safety & health procedures at the project site at all times
  • Schedule work progress from commencement to final commissioning
  • Co-ordinate work schedule with sub-contractors to ensure that projects are executed effectively within the scheduled timelines
  • Ensure that all plant facilities are properly set up, in accordance to the design plan, before handing the site over to the Operations team
  • Carry out testing and commissioning of the newly erected batching plant site before handing the plant over to the Operations team.
  • Regularly update progress status and matters of concern to the Assistant Facilities Manager
