Teamforce Labour are currently seeking Setting Out Engineers in Norwich!
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Position: Temp to Permanent
Salary: Competitive, DOE
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to a variety of projects with a focus on drainage, kerbs, service ducts, and earthworks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, specifically with drainage, kerbs, service ducts, site clearance, and earthworks.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in using setting out equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS systems).
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients.
  • Full UK driving license (as travel to site may be required).

Responsibilities:

  • Setting out and surveying works on-site, ensuring accurate measurements and alignment.
  • Preparation of site reports and records, maintaining compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Overseeing and coordinating drainage systems, kerb installation, and service duct positioning.
  • Managing site clearance and earthworks, ensuring the project progresses on schedule and to specification.
  • Liaising with site management teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensuring safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times.
