REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
The work task requires knowledge and skills, as can usually be achieved through a relevant, completed course of study with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and related subject-specific additional qualification or completed vocational training with a corresponding, particularly extensive, subject-specific additional qualification. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways.
DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
- Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
- Profound knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis
- Knowledge of Safety processes, regulations and guidelines (ECSS-Q-ST-40C, ARP 4761, ARP 4754A) are welcome
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Target-oriented with analytic problem-solving skills
- Willing to learn new things
- Able to perform several Systems Safety tasks in parallel
- Team player, organized and autonomous person with good communication skills
- Very good written and spoken English and German (B2)
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities:
- Performing system safety analyses of aircraft systems, supporting all the phases during and after certification
- Generating and update of assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment) of intended design modifications to influence the system architecture according to the required System Safety/System Integrity
- Determine the particular Safety requirements for system developments or modifications with respect to hardware and software
- Manage input from and output to interfacing technical domains and technology (processes, maintenance, human error, aircraft performance and quality, etc.)
- Support of requirement validation, verification and requirement management
- Review, approval and application of supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability. Generating the System Safety Assessment documentation, based on traceable results and evidence, as mandatory proof to acquire the Type Certificate
