Responsibilities:

Within Engineering the Systems Engineer is technically responsible for aircraft systems of all operated airplane types. The role is furthermore responsible to maintain these systems in an airworthy condition.

This offered position will be preferably about A300 and all fleet Landing Gear topics.

  • Provision of Line and Base Maintenance support: technical support to the maintenance department / trouble shooting (provide technical background information, OEM-Supplier information, research, fleet investigations etc.)
  • Provision of technical support to other departments to ensure airworthiness, reliable technical conditions and availability of the airplanes for operations, e.g. Logistics Department (in case alternate spare part units need to be defined), Flight OPS, Documentation Department, etc.
  • Set-up and control fulfilment of regulatory requirements
  • Review, analysis and preparation of specific work instructions or maintenance procedures based on guidelines from manufacturers and/or airline authorities (SB, AD, STC etc.)
  • Detection and solving of recurrent problems on airframes or components
  • Investigation and establishment of necessary reports in case of technical occurrences / incidents or analysis performed
  • Support to the build-up and review of Aircraft Maintenance Programs
  • Review work scopes for the system equipment going into shop maintenance
  • Review base maintenance/shop reports and propose adaptation of the Maintenance Program if required
  • Follow up of inspections or modifications, maintenance tasks done during the operation
  • Set up and control of hard time components in TRAX
  • Responsible for technical coordination and active reporting of specific technical projects
  • Management / Participation in cross-departmental projects
  • Definition and improvement of departmental processes / guidelines
  • Assist in the establishment of reliability reports
  • Administrative processing of maintenance data or recommendations
