The Mechanical Engineer(Industrial Machinery & Tools) plays a critical role in ensuring optimal performance, availability, and lifespan of assets. The purpose of this role is to develop and implement strategies to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance asset performance. The engineer acts as a subject matter expert in predictive technologies and reliability data analysis, assisting in root cause analysis, change management review, and corrective action plan development and execution. They work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify failure modes, and implement proactive maintenance practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.)
• Proven experience (15 to 20 years) in Reliability Engineering or Program/Project management experience in Rotating Equipment with a reliability focus.
• Understanding of equipment reliability , predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and equipment data analysis.
• Knowledge of reliability methodologies, including FMEA,RCM and condition-based maintenance.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices.
• Possess SG Class-3 Driving license

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex systems, identify failure patterns, and implement effective solutions.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques to interpret asset performance data.
• Solid understanding of maintenance strategies and practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Proactive and self-motivated individual with a passion for continuous improvement and achieving reliability excellence.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong project management skills to lead reliability improvement initiatives.
• Certified Reliability Engineer, Vibration Analysis ISO Category II

• Conduct vibration analysis for rotating equipment using Vibration Analyser.
• Analyse vibration data to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers regarding technical solutions.
• Perform data analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis to identify potential failures, their impact, and underlying causes.
• Collaborate with client maintenance teams to develop and implement condition-based monitoring programs, and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) strategies.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to assess asset reliability and measure improvements.
• Continuously monitor asset performance, identify opportunities for improvement , and develop and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
• Offer technical guidance and support to the stakeholders in optimizing asset reliability and performance.
• Work closely with clients, maintenance and engineering teams to ensure alignment and coordination in achieving reliability goals.
