Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE: EWP YARD ASSISTANT

As an EWP Yard Assistant, you’ll be key in fulfilling orders and supporting our production team. You’ll complete general labour tasks, maintain quality standards, and uphold health and safety procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret job orders to understand production specifications accurately.
  • Carry out tasks such as cutting beams, assembling joists, ripping boards, building pony walls, and gathering required accessories.
  • Operate power tools, pneumatic tools, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
  • Keep the production area organized and ensure materials are stored properly.
  • Verify order completeness and quality, following specific instructions for each package.
  • Prepare packages for shipping, ensuring they are correctly labelled, strapped, and documented.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings and health and safety inspections, adhering to policies and procedures.
