Responsibilities:

What will you do in the role?

  • Ensure use of current specification, have a sound understanding of City and Guilds requirements and the Knowledge, skills, and behaviour requirements of Engineering Technician Apprenticeship pathway 3 ST0457
  • Participate in standardisation activity as required by Jet2.com
  • Take account of the needs of all students when assessing.
  • Prepare students for the type of assessment (i.e. exams, written assignments,
  • presentations, practical’s).
  • Ensure Trainer plans workload of assessment to ensure it is manageable
  • throughout the programme.
  • Adhere to and work in a timely manner to requests of internal quality assurance.
  • Ensure that students are fully briefed on assessment methods and procedures.
  • monitor assessment malpractice (plagiarism) in apprentice’s work.
  • Assess students’ work against the standard or criteria specified by City & Guilds.
  • Show clear evidence of marking in all assessed tasks, providing formative andsummative feedback which will support student progress and development.
  • Provide constructive feedback (written and verbal) to students on assessments, agree targets and areas for development on an individual basis via feedback forms, 12 weekly reviews, and ELMS 6 month KSB standard review.
  • Record in-year achievements and outcomes of assessment accurately using appropriate documentation set by the Awarding Organisation where applicable.
  • Conversant in the use of our e-portfolio ‘C&G Learning assistant or paper based as appropriate
