Description:
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Completed the first year of a related post-secondary Degree or Diploma, with intent to continue in the program (eg: Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics Technology, etc.)
- Previous construction related experience would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

Responsibilities:
- Provide project management assistance in all aspects of concrete and asphalt maintenance, drainage and gravel maintenance, as well as capital projects
- Coordinate quality control activities for capital projects in both rural and urban areas (eg: residential rehabilitation program, arterial rehabilitation program, rural road re-gravel, rural drainage inspection and improvements)
- Provide survey investigations and analysis to both urban and rural areas
- Seek solutions to assigned challenges on special projects through research and analysis
- Provide recommendations to project staff and stakeholders based on research findings
- Assist in the development of presentations and reports for stakeholders
- Assist project management staff to conduct and chair stakeholder meetings
