To strengthen our Engineering Automation Department based in Braine-L’Alleud, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of

Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the management of the Engineering Automation department of Polypeptide Braine for the aspects of maintenance, continuous improvement and development of the automation strategy:

  • Network Automation development in collaboration with the Global IT
  • Development and maintenance of automation systems for production equipment
  • Development of industrial IT Systems for production installations
  • Validation of systems according to standards in the chemical industry
  • Subject Matter Expert in automation in Siemens and DeltaV System

Responsible for the Engineering Automation department of Polypeptide Braine :

  • Management and organisation of the Automation team with all administrative aspects
  • Organisation with the team of all automation developments to be realised in relation to the site priorities and strategies
  • Taking into account the implementation strategy of new installations
  • Management of all Polypeptide Braine automation systems
  • Application programming and modification of existing applications, replacement of the Labview system including validation
  • Contribution to the implementation of an OT network with the necessary tools for data integruty and security of our activities
  • Management of automation projects in collaboration with external companies
  • SME for projects with an automation impact
  • Realization of technical specification and terms of reference
  • Use of existing tools for the management of documentation and qualifications
  • Participation in the development of engineering tools and standardisation procedures
  • Participation in the on-call service for the automation needs of Polypeptide Braine
