Description:

Responsibilities:
The Contractor and Engineering Sales position is primarily responsible for assisting engineers in selecting the right products and equipment for their products, and the sale of products and equipment to contractors assigned to the project. This position is also responsible for developing and maintaining customer, contractor and vendor relationships.

- Provide input on quotes/bids for projects regarding equipment design and selection
- Assist engineers with current projects in terms of equipment design and selection, collaborating with Project Managers and Estimators on product selection, pricing and take-offs
- Provide detailed evaluations of competitive products to communicate value of O’Dell product solutions to all stakeholders. (Owners, Engineers, Contractors)
- Connect with new and prospective customers to build relationships and provide information about new products and technology
- Hunt for new business opportunities
- Perform follow-up on projects previously quoted on and negotiate sales orders.
- Assist with troubleshooting on any issues arising with mechanical equipment. Coordinate with Technical Support Team as required.
- Perform ongoing project site visits and support/coordinate delivery of equipment to sites as required
- Assist design build contactors with the project design and act as a point of contact for any issues that may arise
- Provide presentations to customers on new product
- Complete required product training to remain up to date and informed on newest technologies
- Participate in networking and business development opportunities, including lunches with clients, charity events, and society events. Active role in minimum of one (1) networking group. (ASHRAE, GVCA, MCA, CaGBC, etc.)
- Training new Sales employees, and facilitating internal training sessions for colleagues as required
- Other duties as assigned.
