The Department Manager is responsible for providing engineering resources and competence within their disciplines to support projects and the business.

Responsibilities:
AS AN ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT MANAGER - MECHANICAL COMPONENT, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products
- Develops operational plan for the own department.
- Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise based upon precedents.
- Engaged in customizing projects to client needs. Conveys technical information both to clients and to colleagues out of other functions.
- Play supportive role in knowledge management gathering data and storing them in a system.
- Track and comply with KPI targets
- Develop the team, tracking training plans and assigning courses when needed
- Take care of, and improve, relationships with other functions in the business and provide necessary support to them.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- Proven years of experience in Mechanical Component
- Proven experience leading teams
- Proven experience in O&G subsea equipment
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence others and lead teams.
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Proven analytical and organizational ability.
- Experienced with Creo design tool.
