An Engineering Executive will support the Engineering Department in the coordination of projects and daily operations to ensure the efficient running of the department, contributing to the hotel’s commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork

As an Engineering Executive you will support the Engineering Department in the coordination of projects and daily operations to ensure the efficient running of the department, contributing to the hotel’s commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring all hotel maintenance and repair work, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate records of scheduled maintenance procedures and participate actively in the hotel’s emergency response teams.
• Provide administrative support for the Engineering Department, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing project documentation.
• Facilitate effective communication between the engineering team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion.
• Assist in managing inventory for tools, equipment, and supplies; ensure proper storage, tracking, and availability as needed.
• Support the Director of Engineering in budget control, tracking expenditures, and assisting with procurement of materials and services.
• Participate in implementing and upholding hotel safety and security procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed, maintaining a cooperative and productive work environment.
• Ensure full understanding and compliance with all hotel policies and procedures by the engineering team.
• Stay informed about new technologies and practices relevant to the hotel engineering field to suggest improvements or efficiencies
• Regularly update and maintain engineering-related data in LightStay, ensuring compliance with sustainability requirements and accurately documenting project progress.
• Prepare and manage monthly cost contingency plans and regional reports to forecast expenditures accurately, enabling proactive financial management.
• Track monthly expenses and compare them against departmental budgets to identify and highlight any potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Track daily utilities consumption to identify areas of high usage, recommend strategies for improvement, and report on consumption trends to inform sustainable practices.
• Review monthly Profit & Loss statements, identifying discrepancies and providing actionable insights to support budget control and cost management

• Degree or certification in Engineering, Facility Management, or related field preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems
• Strong organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent administration and IT skills
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Ability to work under pressur
