We are looking for a talented Engineering intern to join our team in Tuas South, Singapore .
This will be following hybrid work model.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Internship period will be 6 months to 8 months from May/ Jun 2024 onwards.
  • MS Excel Macros, Word and PowerPoint.
  • AutoCAD
  • Technical Writing
  • Creo
  • Mechanical background is required.

The internship with the Cummins Distribution business unit’s Engineering department will provide the intern exposure to real business approach to problem solving to engineering design. Gain working knowledge on generator and Marine Propulsion engine system design, Engine selection and Design, Manufacturing, testing, and validation silks. The intern is expected to enhance his/her engineering knowledge, project management, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Work together with Application engineer on Engine selection, completing sub system (Intake, Fuel, Cooling and Exhaust system) installation requirement with Marine, Oil & Gas, and Industrial equipment manufacturer.
  • Work together with Design Engineer to complete Generator design and Generator sub system component design like Base skid, subsystem component support and bracket, cooling system design, complete FEA for Base skid and bracket ad develop the Engineering drawings.
  • Opportunity to gain Electrical / Mechanical Engineering knowledge package design and development process for different market segments.
  • Work with engineers to do product design from customer specification, design validation, and product testing.
  • During design, product selection and validation process, opportunity to learn design and validation tools widely using in similar industries.
  • Work with engineers to develop installation requirements for engine / generator package
