Our engineering department is responsible for building up and steadily improving one of the most important components that make our business as successful as it is - our marketplace. Dive into our tech stack of ReactJS, Redux, Symphony, node.js, AWS Lambda, AWS SQS, SNS, Flutter (… and many more!) and lead one of our different cross-functional teams to make our product unique. As an Engineering Manager (all genders), you will take complete responsibility for your team and take the necessary initiatives to support them in all their tasks and provide them with growth opportunities. YOUR ROLE

• You grow and lead a team of 3-4 engineers, fostering their career development and promoting self-organisation
• You are a key player in the Engineering Leadership team and work on implementing the technical vision, ensuring smooth integration between teams and departments and driving overarching engineering initiatives
• You take ownership of the architecture, design, development, deployment and operations of the services that your team owns
• You liaise with the product owner and define the strategic direction and vision of the team aligning business with needs
• With your expertise in software architecture principles, you work towards delivering innovative solutions for a customer-centric shopping experience
• You contribute to establishing engineering excellence to enhance quality and time-to-market
• You constantly improve lean and agile engineering practices, processes, and productivity
• You are a true brand ambassador and represent flaconi at meetups, conferences, and technical discussions for brand growth and awareness

YOUR ROLE

• 9+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing high-scalable software products (NodeJS, Python, React, TypeScript) paired with at least 2 years of technical leadership and people management experience in agile organisations
• Proficiency in AWS technologies, preferably Serverless (or similar cloud solutions), to guide the team in building scalable and robust solutions
• Excellent knowledge of backend development patterns and methodologies
• The ability to balance business-related and technical requirements, achieving consensus across teams and departments
• You are enthusiastic about application lifecycle management, including; software testing, maintenance, CI / CD, logging, monitoring, and release management.
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills in English with empathy and the ability to influence and inspire others
• The ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members
