This is based in our fabulous office in Calmore, Southampton which is ideally placed for transport networks, has free parking, it’s on onsite gym and a Starbucks drive through next door for your daily caffeine hit.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful Engineering Manager will be responsible for the infrastructure of our developments, including highways, drainage, foundations and retaining walls. You will lead a team of technical experts to ensure a smooth development process time and time again. The candidate will demonstrate an ability and willingness to deliver high quality information to enable efficient site starts. Brief, manage and motivate internal and external Project Team members, third parties to safeguard projected dates and support business growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead and manage the external consultant engineering teams and provide the necessary project approval to enable all developments to move forward
  • Manage consultants in the road, sewer, levels, cut and fill designs, to satisfy planning whilst maintaining the most competitive and practical solution
  • Provide support to land and planning team to resolve critical issues as part of the planning application process
  • Co-ordinate and manage key relationships with utility companies, highways authorities, LLFA’s and the Environment Agency on engineering matters
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and NHBC standards
  • Procure technical approval for highways, sewerage, land drainage adoption
  • Support the in-house technical coordinators with specialist engineering support and advice
