Engineering Manager - Mechanical Services

As the Engineering Manager (Mechanical Services) at St Georges Hospital, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems. Your role includes: Managing Staff: Supervise Operational Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors, Technicians, and other personnel. Controlling Budgets: Oversee budgetary allocations, ensuring effective cost management and adherence to financial guidelines. Health and Safety: Develop and implement health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and NHS guidelines.
Supporting Projects: Liaise with the capital project team to provide technical support and ensure standardization and compatibility of equipment. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on legislation and ensure all mechanical systems meet statutory requirements. Emergency Response: Participate in an on-call roster to manage out-of-hours emergencies, ensuring swift resolution of issues. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the hospital’s operational efficiency, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
