Description:

As the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all engineering activities related to the construction and operation of a vertically integrated phosphoric acid facility. This role requires ensuring compliance with engineering standards, optimizing project execution, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a high-performance and sustainable facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful engineering execution of the facility, optimizing performance, and aligning with sustainability and profitability objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering management within industrial projects, preferably in chemical processing, mining, or fertilizer production.
  • Strong knowledge of phosphoric acid production, industrial plant design, process engineering, and construction management.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and permitting processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects, ensuring quality, cost control, and timely execution.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and excellent communication abilities to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify technical challenges and implement innovative solutions.
  • Experience with engineering design and project management tools.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with changing project demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering teams across various disciplines, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies to optimize plant design, construction, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the selection, procurement, and integration of key process equipment and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and safety standards in all engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including construction, procurement, and operations teams, to align engineering efforts with project objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Review and approve engineering documentation, including specifications, technical reports, and design drawings.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating best practices in plant design, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
  • Support commissioning and startup activities, ensuring all systems and processes meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and project execution.
