REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPETENCES

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. within relevant engineering disciplines, with over 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of well completions and associated activities
  • Previous experience of Product Line Management is desirable.
  • Relevant experience and competence can compensate for a lack of qualifications.
  • Innovative, systematic, a self-starter and analytical, with the ability to see things through and to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and manage diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Good knowledge to the Oil & Gas supplier market
  • Strong analytical and conceptual mind-set.
  • Pro-active and hands-on attitude
  • Good verbal and written formulation in Norwegian and English
  • HSE course for senior management

Responsibilities:

MAIN TASKS

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
  • Execute the product(s) vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with TCO strategy and market needs.
  • Actively lead the product engineering team allocated to the specific product line(s)
  • Active Resource planning to maintain the best utilization of workforce and test equipment
  • Track time and cost of projects and report progress on an agreed schedule
  • Develop and manage the Road Map for the specific product lines and underlying products, covering both short (12 months or less) & medium term (1 to 3 years) of where we are driving the product lines with specific goals and objectives for both product development and new technology introduction
  • Ensure the engineering resources are strategically aligned to the market conditions, current and future
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to align engineering efforts with company goals.
  • Support function to Operations and Business Development/Sales through continuous customer engagement, both internal & external, to ensure that the product(s) consistently exceed their needs and expectations
  • Drive technical decisions that support scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Responsible for intellectual properties (patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets) of product(s) together with the TCO legal team.
  • Initiate maintenance, improvements and upgrading of product(s) to assure that quality and profitability requirements of the Company and customers are met.
  • Lead, support and participate in projects and investigations related to TCO’s products.
  • Technical support to production, operations, sales, and marketing
  • Ensure required competence of Engineering team
  • Overall responsible for NCR handling of product(s)
  • Responsible for ensuring and maintaining adequate and up to date documentation for the product(s), such as datasheets, design reports, product sheet, assembly procedures, operational manuals, marketing material etc
  • Ensure that the product(s) comply with external requirements in laws, regulations, and contracts
  • Review and approve quotes and orders of new or non-standard products
  • Participate and assessment of feasibility studies related to product(s)
  • Provide input to steering committee
  • Ensure training of production, sales and operations on new products
