Our organization is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Program Manager to join our rapidly transforming team. WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Engineering, Operations, Program Management).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
  • Experience with MS Project preferred but not required, including resource loading, and leveling.
  • Experience in Program / Project Management helpful.
  • Familiarity with project management industry standard practices and able to promote best practices.
  • Negotiating, resolving engineering resource conflicts, and driving program completions to achieve business goals.
  • A leader who builds and models a culture of teamwork and employee value.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As an Engineering Program Manager, you are a part of the Engineering team, and you are accountable for program success through the engineering phase of product design. You will create and manage engineering resource schedules for all project types. As an Engineering Program Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating various engineering teams and resources, and Program Management to ensure projects are delivered on time, and according to specifications. This specific role can act as entry into learning how to manage programs from a higher level. You could manage up to 40 engineering schedules at one time. You also will be responsible for providing milestone dates for Program Management and working with the Engineering Managers to ensure their team meets those dates. You will also be responsible for communication of program status to Program Management. You will influence change by using Program Management best practices to ensure program goals and objectives are achieved while driving a spirit of innovation into all aspects of the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Team Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
Resource Management: Manage project resources effectively to optimize project efficiency.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and delays.
Reporting: Be prepared to provide project status around key milestones and challenges.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and support project success.
