KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accountable for ensuring Engineering projects are planned, initiated, and delivered on time and to budget, including special product development projects.
- Influence Engineering development teams to engage in the process and provide inputs on time to meet Gate Review (GR) milestones. Maintain GR documentation - project plans, budgets, and resource planning. Ensure all key deliverables of the Gate Review Process are met by all departments. Actively manage project risks and issues. Develop mitigation plans - engage with senior stakeholders to inform of project risks.
- Annual Engineering budget creation, quarterly updates to the annual budget capturing actuals and forecast to year end.
- Accountable for monthly project cost forecasting and monthly reporting on the status of projects.
- Coordinate work through effective collaboration with all parts of the Lucy Electric organisation.
- Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Accountable for determining plans and mechanisms to deliver against your own objectives including ongoing problem solving
- Accountable for demonstrating company behaviours and values
- Accountable for delivering process excellence and the effective use of the Technical Project team’s resources and continuous improvement efforts.
- Foster an environment that supports learning, development, and openness to change.
- Strive to improve the overall financial and key performance indicators of the business.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience of managing projects from concept through to customer delivery.
- Experience of working with mechanical / electrical products.
- Experienced in the management of design development and manufacturing activities.
- Demonstrated project management capability. Equivalent Prince 2 or similar knowledge. Risk / issue management. Ability to translate complex issues into simple explanatory reporting.
- Driven to share knowledge and ability to encourage others to do the same. Ability to listen and be open to new ideas and the ideas of others.
- Proven capability of operating successfully at a management level.
- Be experienced in leading multi-disciplined teams.
- Significant experience of working in a multi-national, matrix organisation.
- Strong communications and presentation skills, creative with a keen commercial awareness.
