Description:
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years of experience in facility construction is required. Experience in Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, Packaging, or in Aseptic background is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Lead projects of moderate to high complexity in scope of processes and product within facilities, manufacturing, and support areas.
Makes decisions while taking into account the level of risks in regards to compliance and product quality.
Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements for GMP environments and OSHA standards for facility and utility construction.
Ensures all project deliverables are line with the defined responsibilities of each project team member.
Communicates issues or risks to project teams in a timely and effective manner and develops mitigation plans to address/resolve them.
Ability to work in a fast-paced results-orientated environment.
Effective time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills
Responsibilities:
Manage external contractors and complete daily safe work permits to identify and mitigate job site risk factors.
Monitor project work sites for safety performance and ensure construction work is performed in a timely manner to meet project deadlines.
Lead small scale facility and utility projects ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Collaborate with internal Thermo Fisher Teams and external contractors to successfully execute facility projects.
Prepare for and lead crane activities for projects requiring lifts.
Complete Change Control documentation Facility and Utility Changes.
Reviews and understands engineering drawings that include equipment recommendations and utility/facility changes. Specifies construction methods to achieve the desired objectives.
