Description:

OVERALL SUMMARY

Support Engineering New Product Development Projects. Perform various types of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical installations and subsequent testing. Troubleshoot systems, determine root cause, corrective action and follow up as required. Interact regularly with Engineers and Designers. Assist in the testing and evaluation of new products.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Individual must possess these knowledge’s, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, 12 volt and CAN systems.
  • Ability to use applicable measurement and data acquisition instrumentation for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnosis, and be able to interpret measurement results and act accordingly.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Computer skills, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to function effectively as a team player.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Good math and measurement skills.
  • Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Willing to cross train in other functional areas.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical or hydraulics, or a combination preferred.
  • Previous mechanical experience required.
  • 2 years of hydraulic and 12 volt electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with heavy equipment – construction or agricultural equipment.
  • 3D modeling and/or CAD skills a plus
