Description:

The ideal candidate for the role will be a talented, motivated engineer. They will need be able to manage flexibility in their daily work routines, have skills in maintenance engineering as well as project work and be able to work across specific shift patterns. We need someone with a “can do” attitude that sees problems as speed bumps, not barriers. Good communication & personal interaction is essential. The role requires someone who can work effectively as part of the team consisting of the wider Pure Bottling team including the engineering team, engineering manager, production manager, production team leaders and team members. You need a standard of work that complies with our quality, safety and compliance requirements. You must also have the ability to work autonomously in identifying problems and finding solutions

Key outputs required in the role (but not limited to):

  • Have knowledge of OSH, risk assessments, permit to work & safe working practices
  • Take personal responsibility for health and safety
  • Assume responsibility for the mechanical work assigned to you through our CMMS system
  • Continuous monitoring of factory conditions and defects, effect repair and remedies to ensure maximum equipment availability
  • Report plant performance issues
  • Carry out Preventative maintenance tasks assigned through our CMMS system
  • Manage small projects assigned
  • Ensure compliance with quality processes
  • Support site services & facilities

Skills and experience

  • Mechanical aptitude, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Welding – TIG – S/S food manufacturing standard (non-ticketed)
  • Bottling and / or beverage canning experience is preferable
  • Food production plant / intrusive work training and experience

Qualifications:

  • Relevant mechanical trades cert would be an advantage

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
This role is extremely varied and includes mechanical & process fault finding & rectification, workshop work & use of tools, plus the supporting admin tasks necessary for the work as described. It will suit someone who is able, fit and mobile who is willing to work in various situation and environments. Competence in FMCG production (in both process and packing areas) is an absolute must
