Description:

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Overall Design Authority for integrated aftermarket solutions.
- Retaining overall ownership of solutions through bid, delivery and transition into operation.
- Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions that increase customer satisfaction by reducing; cost, project cycle time, device downtime, device interruptions, technical risk and removing obsolescence.
- Develop solutions that improve internal efficiencies throughout the project lifecycle; particularly during the bid, design and execution phases.
- Own and manage technical and solution risks as well as working to reduce and mitigate them.
- Working with customer technical authorities to ensure that they have a clear understanding of design proposals.
- Collaborate across all disciplines within the Aftermarket Team to understand future customer needs/requirements and identify products/solutions that could enhance the aftermarket portfolio.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to support and influence the development of the aftermarket product roadmap.
WHAT ELSE COULD BE HELPFUL TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- A minimum of 10 years working in a technical role designing or updating full flight simulators.
- Has a good level of knowledge of the aviation industry.
- Has a relevant Technical/Engineering degree
- Has experience working directly with customers to understand requirements.
- Has experience of interacting and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders to understand and shape requirements and solution approaches.
