Description:
ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR
Grimsby Power is located in the Town of Grimsby, on the western edge of the Region of Niagara. Grimsby Power serves over 12,000 customers and is committed to providing the Town of Grimsby with an economical, safe and reliable supply of energy.
Grimsby Power is looking for an Engineering Supervisor to provide direction, supervision and coordination of work related to the design, installation, construction, operations, repairs, maintenance, and commissioning of all types of Distribution and Station (TS) assets. This position will direct Engineering Technicians and execute policies, procedures, and practices which support a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment.
The ideal candidate is one who has mastered the design of electrical equipment systems and who is prepared for a new challenge. If you aspire to lead the design of distribution and station projects by maximizing leadership skills, utilizing computer applications, and are organized, detail oriented, and results focused then this position should be one of interest.
The successful applicant will have the following minimum qualifications:
- A minimum five years of experience in an electrical engineering discipline involving design, construction, and commissioning of electrical equipment;
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of design standards and regulations pertaining to the electrical equipment area of expertise;
- Ability to interpret and implement technical specifications/standards;
- Communicate effectively and concisely, orally, electronically (e-mail), and in writing;
- Ability to analyze processes and articulate recommendations for improvements.
Education Required Licenses or Special Requirements:
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.);
- Post or continuing educational courses in Management Studies and/or Business an asset
- Valid Class G drivers license with a clean abstract.
