CAREER OPPORTUNITY
GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced Engineering Support Specialist (ILS)!
As the Engineering Support Specialist (ILS) you will play a pivotal role in establishing and supporting enhanced reliability, maintenance, spares support processes, and organization for our naval sonar product lines. This position involves planning, managing, and executing logistics support activities across the lifecycle of naval systems, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency for both new and existing systems. You will work within a diverse multi-disciplinary program team while interacting directly with various internal and external stakeholders. You are comfortable collecting and analyzing detailed data and metrics while keeping the big picture in mind to create ILS solutions for in-service support (ISS) projects on current and future ship systems
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in Engineering or a technical degree from a recognized educational institution
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an ILS Engineering role
- Experience with costing and budgeting is considered an asset.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement ILS project plans while ensuring alignment with engineering, operations, and maintenance requirements.
- Manage spare parts, tools, and inventory control to support operational readiness and minimize downtime.
- Provide ILS information to support marketing proposals
- Conduct reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis to ensure operational effectiveness of delivered systems.
- Perform Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) to assess potential risks and implement corrective measures.
- Create and manage technical documentation, including manuals, procedures, and maintenance plans.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to integrate ILS requirements into system development processes.
- Support the development of lifecycle cost models and analysis to optimize naval systems supportability and minimize operational costs
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with logistics and supportability requirements.
- Monitor system performance, gather feedback, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system supportability.
