QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent an asset.
  • Experience with ERP software for data management, cost estimating, selling and fulfillment processes.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in global manufacturing industry with solid understanding of engineering, sourcing and/or operations.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in cost modelling in design, operations or supply chain.
  • Strong understanding of engineering data management and processes.
  • Knowledge of Cost Estimating processes, procedures, and software and the ability to implement effectively and in a timely basis.
  • Proficient in reading BOM/cost structure analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes like burn table, boring, press work, welding and electrical and mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings in order to breakdown product designs.
  • Quality related experience with focus on process auditing, root-cause analysis and improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate and compare product needs.
  • Critical thinker with proven problem-solving skills and ability to recommend solutions, and negotiate and execute contingency plans.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong drive and results-orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate directly with management and cross-functional leaders as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee product configurations and production materials across product lines.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret financial, cost, statistical, and technical data related to products.
  • Act as the lead process expert for interfaced sales order entry, working closely with commercial, finance, aftermarket, and operations teams.
  • Serve as the expert on product configuration processes and implementations, as well as cost modeling tools and processes.
  • Manage engineering data, ensuring proper storage, accessibility, and master data management.
  • Manage data sharing requirements and security measures with operations, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and aftermarket sectors.
  • Apply cost estimating techniques to create and maintain cost models using Excel and ERP software.
  • Work with teams to identify cost drivers and develop parametric cost models.
  • Assemble and present relevant information for business cases, including alternatives and risk sensitivity analysis to management.
  • Develop and maintain KPI matrices and dashboards for various KPI segments in the engineering department.
