CACI is seeking an Engineering Technician to support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Review, edit and implement changes for US Navy Distressed Submarine Survival Guide (Guard Book) emergency manuals across all classes of submarines.
  • Perform work in support of US Navy Submarines, Submersibles or Deep Submergence projects
  • Some travel may be required

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and Engineering Technician experience related to the operation and/or repair of US Naval Submarines.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical work documents.
  • Technical training equivalent to an associate’s degree is preferred.
  • Ability to achieve excellence working individually or as part of a team
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Office suite of products
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance

Nice to have:

  • Previous US Navy experience.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of US Navy Submarine Escape & Rescue Equipment
  • Familiar with the operation and maintenance of US Navy Submarine Atmosphere Control Equipment
  • Prior experience with US Navy Deep Submergence Assets and Support Systems.
  • Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI and ASME standards
  • Experience with configuration management and document control
  • Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair and/or testing
  • Experience with MS Office suite of products
