Description:

Overview:
Bright Ceramic Technologies (BCT), part of SRI are seeking a motivated and mid-level Engineering Technician to help in our efforts to produce molds, parts and processes to further the delivery of high-quality parts to our customers. This position requires a keen attention to detail. Must be able to bend over for long periods of time and work with delicate parts. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of hand tools and be able to use Microsoft Office products and the ability to gain or currently possess a US Government security clearance
Responsibilities:
Work with BCT engineers and scientists to ensure required molds, test fixtures, and production tooling and products are properly designed and function properly. Communicate back any issues to BCT Engineers and Scientists so corrective action can be taken. Follow BCT procedures to produce molds and associated parts. Follow necessary processes to insure we have high-quality parts to deliver to our customers. Part inspection will be a major responsibility in this roll. Maintain a cohesive data flow of part metrics from Travelers to tracking data bases. Help to increase production capabilities and reduce lead time to our customers.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance
  • A good general understanding of mechanical systems.
  • The ability to communicate clearly both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as know when to step in as supporting member on a team.
  • Candidate will be responsible for ensuring needed tools are working properly.
  • Very high attention to detail and gentle handling of delicate parts is very critical to this position.

The salary range is: $42.50/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI’s Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
