Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a Engineering Technician to work on our Northern contract in Leeds
As the Engineering Technician you will be part of our Engineering Team
As the Engineering Technician your responsibilities will include:
- The engineering technician will be part of the design team which covers the investigation and detaildesign of clean and waste water network, civil engineering and other projects principally, but notwholly, related to the water industry.
- The engineering technician will provide support to the designer, through completion of tasks thatcomplement the final design for the construction stage and success of the completion stage.
- The engineering technician role will be to understand network maps and plans, in order to understandassets in relation to public and private ownership.
- Demonstrate an understanding of other utilities and environmental factors that affect the selectionand installation of water network assets.
- Technicians may hold responsibility for tasks and/or small projects with flexibility to move betweenworkstreams.
- Engineering technicians may hold specific responsibilities or expertise in investigationprocesses, computer aided design (CAD), specific methods of construction, safe systems of work andother technical areas, making this role a key contributor to the design process
- Produce accurate statutory notices for private land and easements in conjunction with theclient’s specification / requirements for dealing with private land
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience of using MS Office Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and also conversant withAutoCAD 2D / GIS software.
- Have a basis of water hydraulic network systems understanding, either through previous experience or education.
- Able to demonstrate an initiative to work on their own and as part of a team.
