Description:

Accredited Glenbow College Language School is seeking dedicated volunteer team members to join us in transforming lives through teaching. If you have a love for instructing English and want to gain valuable experience at a professional college, we want to meet you!
If you love teaching English and need to gain experience at a professional college as an instructor, let’s meet. Your main goal will be to create a supportive learning environment that will help your students meet their learning goals. Through interesting and diverse methods, you’ll teach them the important rules of reading, writing, and speaking in English.
Time Commitment: Two days a week from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, totalling 8 hours with a minimum commitment of two months.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong passion for teaching and helping others succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in teaching English as a second language is preferred.
- Familiarity with diverse teaching methods to cater to various learning styles.
- TESOL or CELTA certification is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Teach English to adult new comers from diverse age groups and backgrounds.
- Focus on newcomers to Calgary, guiding them through transformative educational experiences.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment to help students achieve their language learning goals.
- Utilize engaging and diverse teaching methods to impart essential skills in reading, writing, and speaking in English.
