MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA MAHI | ABOUT THE ROLE

An opportunity is now available for a well-organized person with the right mix of experience, knowledge and skills to provide quality administrative support to our International Student enrolments.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $55,822 and $57,847, dependent on skills and experience.

The Enrolment Officer is based in our EIT | Te Pūkenga Team reporting to the Registry Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Manage International Enrolments: Oversee the enrolment process for international students, liaising with various campus staff and ensuring accurate student records.
  • Student Fees and Finance: Handle daily receipting, coding, and reconciliation of international fees, manage student debt, and liaise with international agencies regarding student finance.
  • Visa Processing: Support students with visa applications, ensure compliance with Immigration New Zealand regulations, and maintain secure records of passports and visas.
  • Insurance Management: Process student insurance payments, update records, and ensure all international students have valid insurance coverage.
  • General Support and Administration: Provide backup support to the Registry team, attend meetings, process refunds, and maintain positive working relationships across campuses.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Essential Skills: Intermediate accounting, communication (oral and written), customer service, computer skills (Excel, Word, database), and ability to work under pressure.
  • Legal and Cultural Knowledge: Understanding of the Privacy Act 2020 and appreciation of diverse cultures.
  • Interpersonal Abilities: Ability to relate to a wide variety of people, identify student needs, and work effectively in a team.
  • Personal Attributes: Friendly, approachable, mature, tolerant, patient, flexible, conscientious, punctual, and reliable.
  • Experience: Preferable experience working with international students.
