Digital Identity is driving transformation at all levels of Government and at Okta, our technology and team are behind a lot of these stories.
On the Workforce Identity side, Okta creates seamless, secure access to the technology government workforces require on a daily basis to complete the important work they are responsible for. On the Customer Identity side - we make it easy for developers to create engaging, secure user experiences, from citizen facing applications through to mobile drivers licenses and state digital identity.
With flagship customers across NSW Government in both Workforce and Customer Identity, Okta has a tremendous base within this market. This role is looking for the right sales leader to run with this platform and drive further growth across the NSW Government.

As our leader in Public Sector for NSW, you will:

  • Establish a vision, method and targets to guide your long-term approach to the territory
  • Lead the strategy of the virtual team working around you and with you; Partners, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, Technical Account Managers, Renewals, Professional Services, Business Development, and more
  • Consistently deliver to Pipeline Generation and Revenue targets
  • Land, expand and deepen the partnerships with customers within the Public Sector
  • Become known as a thought leader in Okta’s platform and the Identity space
  • Champion Okta to prospective clients in presentations, demonstrations and the creation or organisational value

You could be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • 10+ years of field sales experience, demonstrating high performance and a growth mindset throughout that journey
  • Experience selling Enterprise cloud software to Public Sector organisations
  • Previous experience working closely with technical partners and reseller channels to drive customer alignment and growth of the territory
  • A measurable track record in new business development and over achieving financial targets
  • A curious mindset, willing to learn and grow and adapt quickly
  • Strong executive presence, driven by active listening and strong communication skills
  • Experience with solution selling and/or consultative sales techniques; knowledge of MEDDPICC is a bonus
  • Based in Sydney
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or relevant career experience
