Description:
THE CENTRAL BANK OF IRELAND SERVES THE PUBLIC INTEREST BY SAFEGUARDING MONETARY AND FINANCIAL STABILITY AND BY WORKING TO ENSURE THAT THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM OPERATES IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF CONSUMERS AND THE WIDER ECONOMY.
We currently have a vacancy for an Enterprise Architect on a contract of indefinite duration in the IT Strategy, Planning & Architecture Division. This role is aligned with the Bank Professional 2 grade and the BP2 salary scale, between €87,306 and €110,059 applies. Please click here for further information on our salary scales.
The purpose of the role is to create and maintain the enterprise architecture model and ensure it meets current and future business needs in order to provide a technology infrastructure that enables senior IT management to make better technology decisions and by provide long term cost effective solutions. Provide thought leadership to business and IT teams to assist in the delivery of the above.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an Enterprise Architecture (EA) that is aligned to the overall IMTD and business strategy in order to provide effective technology infrastructure that supports the business.
- Design and implement IMTD architectural practises (i.e. standards & guidelines) and processes (i.e. governance and controls), policies and procedure is in order to provide effective technology infrastructure that supports the business.
- Keep abreast with developments in the IT industry and banking sector in order to ensure that the architectures are kept in line with industry standard. Promote awareness of new and emerging technologies among staff and business in order to influence decision-makers.
- Provide relevant skills transfer, coaching and mentoring to team members to share expertise in your domain area and ensure that the necessary skills, competencies and knowledge are being developed and leveraged across the team as appropriate to ensure that the work is conducted in an appropriate manner.
- Support the Head of Function - Enterprise Architecture to embed a culture of continuous improvement and inspire the whole team to look for and drive different ways of working, tools and techniques in order to provide effective technology infrastructure that supports the business and to ensure that the team is focused on quality.
- Establish and maintain a high level of business engagement to inspire confidence in IT as a trusted business partner.
Requirements:
- Degree in IT, Engineering or other as deemed appropriate.
- The role holder should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in architecture. Experienced in at least one enterprise architecture methodology (e.g. TOGAF). The role should also have architecture experience in a similar business background (e.g. financial services, banking, etc.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA public cloud technologies
- Functional expertise of SAP modules (e.g. Finance and HR) is desirable
- Extensive Enterprise Architecture skills in frameworks.
- Experience of relevant Technology Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of working with MS stack, SQL server.
- Experience in Data Analytics.
- Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Good presentation skills including confidence working at all business levels.
- Self-starter with the ability to show initiative and work without supervision.
