Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an Enterprise Architect to join our growing team!
WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE:
- Contribute to the creation and improvement of the enterprise architecture practices, processes, governance and compliance.
- Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for a Global Enterprise Architecture guided by the overall business and IT strategy.
- Define and maintain governance and compliance standards and policies.
- Execute based on of the Enterprise Architecture processes.
- Create, update and maintain architecture models, roadmaps and strategies.
- Lead risk and cost analysis including build vs. buy strategies and recommendations.
- Lead analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Contribute to the definition and evolution of global IT architecture based on long-term business strategy considering the diversity of Intact activities, the need for compliance to information Security requirements, the long-term business plan scenarios, the obsolescence of mission-critical applications and the evolution of IT solutions offerings from various sources.
- Capture current state Architecture and establish future state Architecture vision for each domain, supporting the business and IT strategy and vision.
- Develop roadmaps for each domain to achieve this future state.
- Actively participate in all strategic programs and guide its design, in line with the architecture principles.
- Work with the functional leadership to review all project implementation to ensure that it met the original design that was approved in the Architecture described through assets such as architecture decisions, high-level architecture designs, details architecture designs.
- Serve as an internal spokesperson for Enterprise Architecture on significant matters.
- Develop roadmaps for each domain to achieve this future state.
- Utilize this roadmap as the basis to review and approve all project designs, at the Design gate state of the Project lifecycle.
- Understand, advocate and promote the Enterprise Architecture vision and value proposition within the IT and business community.
- Lead and facilitate research and assessment of new approaches and technologies for potential use within the organization.
- Lead and facilitate the creation and evolution of architecture principles to support decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of an implementation plan for the enterprise architecture.
- Drive the Architecture review of all proposed programs as part of the yearly planning process.
- Propose Architecture driven programs that actively achieve the Architecture goals of simplifying complexity, reducing redundancy and duplications, and leveraging the leading edge of technology innovations.
- Consult with project teams to align projects to enterprise architecture to accommodate project needs.
- Consult with infrastructure teams to fit infrastructure to architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate infrastructure needs.
- Review and ensure the soundness of the proposed solutions of all major projects and its alignment with enterprise architecture.
