QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of a degree or diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the implementation of work and asset management systems for municipalities.
  • Experience in business systems analysis including data management, business reporting and process re-engineering.
  • Considerable experience working with enterprise applications, gathering requirements, preparing Statement of Work, and implementing technology solutions to improve efficiency and/or service levels, preferably in a municipal environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, complete multiple assignments and take initiative.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, good judgement, diplomacy and confidentiality in all aspects of day-to-day work.
  • Ability to influence and communicate with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • Experience integrating work and asset management systems with other enterprise systems such as ERP, EAM, HR, GIS is an asset.
  • Experience with IBM Maximo is an asset.
  • Certification with the IIBA (ECBA, CCBA, or CBAP) is an asset.
  • Training in LEAN techniques, or willingness to commence LEAN training within six months of accepting the position.
  • Candidates with equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engagement with business to elicit, analyze and document the requirements for IBM Maximo enterprise asset management system.
  • Translate business needs into technology solution requirements, analyze requirements to determine priority, and facilitate solution alignment.
  • Function as a key project stakeholder on the implementation of an enterprise asset and work management system.
  • Responsible for oversight and guidance of other staff on the project (i.e. ERP Business Analysts, ERP process analysts, external contractors, etc.).
  • Negotiate innovative business solutions that satisfy customer needs, are consistent with architectural guidelines, and conform to security standards.
  • Work with team resources to develop integrated system solutions to provide single points of data entry.
  • Responsible for detailed problem solving, and solution development as it relates to overall EAM / ERP platform.
  • Tailoring solutions and design to the many unique service delivery areas within the City.
  • Work with city business areas to map as-is and to-be processes.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to assess the impact of proposed solutions, facilitate deployments, and minimize disruption to services.
  • Support the IT Architecture function in preparing and communicating solution architectures, current state and target state.
