The Enterprise Operations Internship will provide the student with exposure to core TMX business units within the equities trading operations teams. The Intern will be involved in assisting with day to day processes within Enterprise Operations as well as participating in product and client innovations with a focus on leveraging technology. The specific focus areas will have a direct impact on product innovations and improving the client experience across the Enterprise Operations. There will be opportunity to engage in and strengthen Enterprise Operation processes, client communication and Enterprise Support tools.
Reports to: Manager, Business Operations and Compliance
Key Accountabilities:
- Build relationships with clients, Vendors, Trading Participants and other TMX business units on topics such as digital platforms and web portals.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Product Management teams to implement process improvements and execute on tactical operations initiatives.
- Documentation of current business processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with the team to support system integration and business process improvement projects as defined by the management team.
- Identify gaps in information flow and assist in redesigning processes by applying technology and automation.
- Delivering dashboards and tools which enable enhanced visibility into key client support and operational metrics.
- Prepare communications, document new product summaries and support enhancements to the client portal.
- Assist equities trading and market data professionals in providing first class customer support and troubleshooting issues for clients.
Must haves:
- Enrolled in a post-secondary institution with a preferred focus in Computer Science, Finance, Business or other related field
- Passion for capital markets and using and interpreting data to drive significant business impact
- Critical thinking skills to recognize patterns and anomalies in data and arrive at new conclusions based upon findings
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize projects
- A standout colleague with the ability and desire to collaborate with team members
- Great Communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with Excel: pivot tables and vlookups
Nice to haves:
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- Experience with Web UX/UI design best practices, Tableau, and Salesforce
- Understanding and passion in Equities Markets
Note:
- Hybrid role: 2 -3 days per week in the downtown Toronto office
- 4 month Co-op / Internship: May 5, 2025 - August 22, 2025
