We offer an array of services to clients interested in custom index development, investable index products designed to offer access to systematic strategies, index administration and calculation agent services. Bloomberg indices are driven by the same trusted reference data, pricing and analytical calculations that are leveraged throughout the investment process.

Responsibilities:

You’ll be joining a highly experienced, motivated, and fast-growing Index sales team in Asia Pacific that sits within Global Financial Solutions Sales. As an Index Sales Account Manager you will seek wider adoption and increased penetration of Bloomberg Index products in key buy and sell-side client segments: Asset Owners, Asset Managers and Financial Institutions.
You will be responsible for supporting an Index Relationship Manager in developing new business opportunities and building and maintaining relationships within existing accounts. You’ll be involved with supporting and holding in-depth discussions regarding Bloomberg index methodology and new product development, creating and delivering presentations and proposals, managing contract discussions and supporting relationship management.
The position is based in Singapore, with coverage spanning across South East Asia markets, including Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Respond to detailed client inquiries on Bloomberg index products and methodologies
  • Actively contribute to business development opportunities, client qualification, prospecting, setting up meetings and execute on sales strategy
  • Expand the existing client base by uncovering investment needs and presenting solutions
  • Drive internal and external training sessions and sales pitches
  • Work with clients throughout the sales process including the provision of analysis for due diligence to contract execution
  • Collaborate extensively with different internal teams to cross-sell our suite of solutions
  • Maintain a shadow target to align to the index relationship manager’s sales goals
  • Provide detailed product feedback from clients to internal business managers in an effort to continually improve our products

You’ll need to have:

  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with junior sales or client services experience within the South East Asia market.
  • Demonstrated experience working in investment management, banks, securities, and/or wealth management organizations in South East Asia or covering them as clients
  • A strong understanding of the aforementioned organizations’ regulations affecting their business and their sources of revenue
  • Demonstrated track record of handling multiple projects at the same time, using superior organizational, communication and time management skills
  • An astute commercial mindset, working to exceed sales metrics
  • Demonstrable ability to identify new prospects, build, and maintain solid client relationships
  • A self-starter and dedicated collaborator with strong multi-tasking skills
  • Available for regular travel within the assigned geographical coverage
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant financial field, or degree-equivalent qualifications
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English

We’d love to see:

  • Experience in cold calling and prospecting
  • Experience in Indices industry
  • ASEAN language skills such as Thai, Bahasa Malaysian or Bahasa Indonesian to better support our ASEAN clients
