• Commitment to documentation, communication, and comprehension
• Following the SDLC that emphasizes architecture, design, interfaces, modularity, configurability, and uniform data management. Note: Agile is not a process that works for platforms, at least not that we have ever seen. You will need to work with our SDLC that is based on modular, parallel development
• Disciplined development. Without discipline development quickly descends into chaos. By discipline we mean doing things on time, reviewing code per design, meeting deadlines (always) and never showing up unprepared.
• Understand that leading is not a popularity contest. You can’t aspire to be friends with your team. You must earn their respect and trust, not their affection. If it feels like we are describing marines, good, you got it.
