Overview:
PepsiCo is on the lookout for an Enterprise Solutions MES Specialist to join our IT team in Carrigaline on a 12month contract basis.

As the Enterprise Solutions MES Specialist, you will provide functional support for the digital factory element of the System Platform upgrade project in our sites based in Little Island, Carrigaline and Singapore.
You will drive the functional and technical elements of the retrofit of the most recent version of the Digital Factory blueprint into previous implementations.
Lead the Plant teams through Change Management tasks and appropriate testing cycles associated with the retrofit and other significant enhancements.
Lead the delivery of some key enhancements across the organisation (e.g. Expected True Efficiency, User Driven Assignment etc.)
Responsibilities:

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong IT functional experience preferably in Food/Beverage Processing, Bio-Tech or Pharmaceutical.
  • Science/Technical/IT or Engineering Degree and/or equivalent qualification coupled with 5 years plus demonstrated track record in a relevant environment.
  • Experience managing application support e2e including issue resolution, change analysis, design, implementation, test, and deployment, etc.
  • Some understanding of typical application functionality as it relates to a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with development of applications preferably for shopfloor functionality.
  • Strong database skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft productivity Tools (MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Visio).
  • Extensive IT Experience (Business Analysis, Solution Delivery, Stakeholder Engagement, Test Management, Support, Project Governance, Change Management).
  • General IT Technical Skills (Excellent understanding of System Architectures, Databases etc.).
  • Good communication skills and an ability to work effectively with virtual project teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a drive and commitment towards project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of a typical IT project life cycle.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes (Preferably PGCS processes).
  • Experience with AVEVA MES, AVEVA Worktasks or any other AVEVA products.
  • SAP and/or SAP MII Experience.
  • Technical skills desirable in some or all the following technologies - Microsoft technology environments – Windows server environments; Infrastructure virtualisation.
  • Experience with AVEVA control systems and tools (InTouch, InBatch, InSQL, ArchestrA System Platform).
  • High level understanding of OT/Automation technology (e.g. PLCs, Plant Historian, SCADA, ISA-95 Standard).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the broader project team and the primary vendor to support the delivery of the Digital Factory element of the System Platform upgrade.
  • Drive the delivery of the Digital Factory ‘retrofit’ projects with the broader Digital Factory sustain team and the PGCS plant teams for multiple sites.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders including vendors, the sustain team and the plant teams to deliver key enhancements to the Digital Factory blueprint.
  • Drive and manage testing cycles for upgrades and enhancements.
  • Execute and record tests where appropriate.
  • Work with superusers to aid testing and ensure correct execution.
  • Be a key source of functional knowledge for all stakeholders across all areas of the system.
  • Provide education and guidance to business stakeholders in relation to the Digital Factory functionality and processes.
  • Lead the business stakeholders to understand functional gaps and align on solutions.
  • Drive the adherence to PGCS change control processes and ensure all changes are compliant with key controls.
  • Ensure the correct use of PGCS tools (e.g. ADO, Service Now) and drive an understand of same with other stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of a training material associated with upgrades or enhancements.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is in place to support enhancements.
