Orbix and VITO are collaborating to launch a new venture that will bring the revolutionary Carbstone technology to market. We’re on the hunt for a dynamic CEO who can spearhead the business and shape the company’s future.
Orbix, a provider of eco-friendly materials and technologies for the construction and steel industries, and VITO, a renowned independent Flemish research institute, have joined forces. Their brainchild, the Carbstone technology, turns the tables on CO2 emissions by producing top-tier building materials that absorb CO2, thus benefiting the climate.
The technology is ripe for the market and has already been adopted by several companies. The new venture aims to kickstart global commercialization through strategic business development and the establishment of new manufacturing plants.
As the CEO, you’ll steer the day-to-day operations and craft the company’s long-term vision and mission.

- You’re a natural-born entrepreneur with the zest and skills to build a standalone enterprise. You’ve led a business (or business unit), preferably within the realm of burgeoning growth companies.
- Your forte lies in commercial business development, forging stakeholder alliances that are mutually beneficial.
- Understanding of circular businesses and research environments is crucial.
- Your exceptional interpersonal abilities enable you to make a mark and rally everyone around the business strategy.
- Experience in the circular materials sector and an established network in the field, both locally and globally, would be ideal.
- You’re based in Belgium but keen on travelling, both within Europe and beyond, and expanding your horizon.
- You’re passionate about constructing a business that leaves a positive and enduring imprint on society.
- Fluent in English and, ideally, Dutch.
